About Us
Uttarakhand Association of Qatar (UAQ)
Uttarakhand Association of Qatar (UAQ) is a non profit organization formed in April, 2011 with a mission to bring together Uttarakhand people residing in the State of Qatar.
The Uttarakhand Association, Doha Qatar is a unique Socio Cultural Organization which is truly promoting Uttarakhand Culture and community spirit in Qatar. Dedicated to the goal of preserving, promoting and enhancing an understanding of Uttarakhand culture and its values among our children.Fostering community spirit among Uttarakhand people in Qatar, the Association has grown to over 50 families today. It conducts a number of events and programs for its members throughout the year.
The Aim and Objective of this association are:
- The main objective of UAQ is to bring together the people of Uttarakhand residing in the State of Qatar.
- To operate as a non-profitable socio cultural organization and any accretion shall be used to promote its objectives and none of it’s fund shall be available for the personal benefit of the members.
- To enrich the lives of the people of Uttarakhand living in Qatar by inspiring their mind and spirit to create a sense of pride in maintaining a unique Uttarakhandi identity in the Qatar, projecting the rich culture and heritage of Uttarakhand to our young generation in particular and fostering social & cultural awareness among the Uttarakhandi community in general.
- To organize social, cultural and educational activities, sports activities and other programs (picnic) as may be of general interest to its members.
- To promote Uttarakhandi culture and talent with in UAQ members by participating in social and cultural events organized by ICC in Doha, Qatar. Explore job opportunities for Uttarkhandis in Qatar and provide direction/guidance to new arrivals for settling in the State of Qatar.
- Association will provide help to their community members in an emergency.
- Shall become a vehicle of expression and representation for the member community with regard to their legitimate concerns and interests.

Organising sessions on topics like language, professional skills, health awareness, plus special programmes for youth & elders.
